The Board of Directors and the Management of ONE CREATION Impact finance are pleased to announce the arrival of Mr. Jean-Pierre Cubizolle as a new ambassador to its team.
Mr. Cubizolle has a long career as an entrepreneur in the field of business consulting having founded and directed CCT Group Management Ltd from 1992 to 2013 with a presence on five continents. Subsequently he co-founded and managed the dental clinic group Edenweiss Group SA from 2012 to 2015. Currently he is the founder and managing partner of the consulting firm CHC in Geneva.
Throughout his life, Mr. Cubizolle has shown a strong commitment to various social causes. He co-founded the Association for the Education of Children in South India (ADEIS), is a member of the Board of Directors of the Refugee Education Trust (RET) as well as a member of the ConnectAID Strategic Council.
ONE CREATION Impact finance’s commitment to environmental innovation and in particular to the preservation of natural resources such as water, one of its main concerns, was a motivating factor for his coming:
“I am proud to be promoted as an ambassador for ONE CREATION Impact finance and to contribute to the transformation of the financial sector as a key player in sustainable development.
My current priority is to protect the seas, oceans, and lakes from pollution, overfishing and drilling of all kinds. Seas, oceans and lakes are essential to life on Earth since nearly half of the oxygen produced each year on our planet comes from them thanks to photosynthesis by phytoplankton.
Seas and oceans absorb about 30% of the world’s CO2 emissions, which makes them indispensable in the fight against climate change.
The unlimited exploitation of our oceans, seas and lakes has direct and obvious negative effects on marine biodiversity, affecting the whole ecosystem and the food chain for the approximately three billion people who need fish for their animal protein intake.
On average, 300 million tons of plastic are produced per year, of which about 10 to 12 million tons end up in our oceans, seas, and lakes, with disastrous effects on marine and lake flora and fauna.
About 64% of the world’s oceans and seas, or almost half of the planet’s surface, do not belong to any country! Therefore, these maritime areas called “international waters” or “high seas” belong to us all. It is our collective responsibility to preserve them.”
