One Creation is pleased to share that portfolio company Daphne Technology has announced a CHF 15 million investment led by Taranis, marking an important new phase in the company’s growth and commercial development.
Based in Switzerland, Daphne Technology is developing solutions to address methane slip from natural gas engines, an area of increasing importance as industrial operators face tighter regulatory scrutiny and stronger expectations to reduce emissions. According to the company, the funding will support the establishment of manufacturing capacity in the United States, continued product development, and the expansion of field deployment and technical service capabilities.
This milestone reflects the increasing relevance of methane abatement within the broader decarbonisation agenda. In its announcement, Daphne noted that methane slip remains a significant and still insufficiently addressed source of emissions from lean-burn natural gas engines, particularly in compressor fleets used by pipeline operators. The company also pointed to a tightening regulatory backdrop, including U.S. and European measures, as well as improved emissions monitoring, all of which are reinforcing demand for practical and scalable solutions.
Daphne Technology’s SlipPure™ system is designed to reduce methane emissions from engine exhaust through a plasma-catalytic process. The company reports that the technology can materially reduce methane and other pollutants while avoiding major engine modification, with ongoing field deployment in the U.S. market. Daphne also indicated that progress in land-based deployments is expected to support the advancement of its marine applications over time.
For One Creation, this development illustrates the kind of innovation we seek to support: technologies that combine strong environmental relevance with concrete industrial application and real-world scalability. Daphne Technology is positioned at the intersection of climate impact, regulatory momentum, and operational need, addressing a pressing challenge with a solution designed for deployment in demanding industrial environments.
We congratulate the Daphne Technology team, Taranis, and the company’s broader investor group on this important milestone, and we look forward to following the next stages of its development.
